Japanese Visitors 2005: Chapter II

There are two streets in Bywater that on an annual basis have simultaneous garage sales. It makes for an extravaganza that citizens look forward to with great excitment. Ruby decided she must take her visitors to this.

When Ruby first drove into the area, the need for a place to park was immediately imminent. However, much to her surprise, she did find a parking spot. "I am surprised no one has parked there." She thought to herself. Never the less, the ladies still had a substantial hike to the sales.

They took their time, stopping at various sales, seeing what they could see.

They stopped to visit Pearl and Stu Bracegirdle, whose house was on the street with the sales. The house was a beehive of activity. The girls went in and were greeted with Pearl's usual hospitality. They sampled cheese, cookies and smoked salmon and had a brief visit with all who were there.

They then took in the rest of the sale. It was a long hot walk back to the car, but finally they made it.

"What is that green thing up there?" asked Yuri.
"Uh... those are blackberries" said Ruby absently.
"No! exclaimed Yuri, "Up there on the window."

Ruby then saw what she was referring to and got a horrible sinking feeling in her stomach. This is what she saw:
