Titles

This is a big week for Ruby’s family. On Saturday afternoon they will be marrying-off Olo. Olo was the child that made Ruby an Aunt for the first time. She can still reflect back on how happy being bestowed that title made her. In fact, his arrival was a title-bestowing one. It bestowed a title to two grandmothers, two grandfathers and uncle and some great grandparents as well. Needless to say, his arrival was anxiously anticipated and celebrated.

Ruby recalls the telephone call she received last November. "Just about an hour ago, I proposed to Meryann, and she has accepted" he said proudly and breathlessly. Saturday's wedding, like the day of his birth, has been happily anticipated. Ruby looks forward to obtaining a new “neice-in-law”, Meryeann, and maybe, in the not-to-distant future, receiving a new title... “Great Aunt.”
