The Wedding Weekend Part I: The Rehearsal Dinner

Ruby left the constabulary in a rush on Friday. She had a few more things to pick up at the store and then she had go home and get ready. Olo and Meryeann's rehearsal dinner was tonight at the hotel, and Ruby was invited.

She remained on schedule and arrived at the same time as Bella and Berliac, and most of the rest of the people attending. They were seated at a place with their name assigned to it (Ruby recognized Myrtle's beautiful calligraphy), and they were handed special menus with the couple's name at the top. They were allowed to choose from the menu.

Mungo stood and welcomed people. He and Myrtle then presented the bride and groom with a gift. They began to open the packages.. and slowly they realized what each package contained. The Hardbottle family flamingos.. Dressed appropriately for the occasion:

The room was full of representatives of both family's and Olo and Mereyann's many friends. There were toasts, and prayers and people shared stories and memories. It was a wonderful dinner... and just the beginning of the festivities.
