Starting-Early Overtime

“Ruby, there is overtime available” said the recorded message, “come in early if you wish." Ruby thought quickly and decided she would, especially if she did it by starting early. Ruby knew from experience that starting-early overtime is much easier to do than staying-after overtime. The starting-early overtime is over before the actual start of her shift, and by quitting time she would have completely forgotten that she had worked over, BUT she still gets paid extra. “Can’t beat that with a club” she thought.
