Psychedelic Bunko

Ruby rushed home from the constabulary and doned her costume. Granny dress, "leather" vest with tassels and beads, large hanging down earrings, earth shoes, and of course, flowers in her hair. She heard the honk of Daisy's car in her lane, and she hurried off to jump in and go.

"There is a catastrophe" said Daisy. "Three people have backed out at the last minute. Do you know of anyone who can fill in?"

Ruby made some suggestions, but they had already been attempted and to no avail. Then, just before passing Mungo and Myrtle's street, the thought occurred to her.. "Let's ask Mungo and Myrtle!" she said. Daisy made a sharp turn and they pulled up in front of their house.

Ruby called in from her cell phone...
"Hello.. Mungo?... What are you doing tonight?" she inquired.
"Uhhhh .... nuthin." said Mungo.
"Would you and Myrtle be willing to come and play Bunko with us.. please-please-please-please..." begged Ruby.
"Uhh, well okay," replied the somewhat stunned Mungo.
"Great!" exclaimed Ruby.... grab your coat and let's go, we are out front of your cottage right now!"

After a minute or two, Mungo and Myrtle came out and they headed to the game. The hostess had done a fabulous job... one could tell she had too much fun preparing this party. Each guest was given love beads and a bright sparkly mood ring. The quarters were small and it made for an even more raucous game. There was psychedelic music playing and a Woodstock video silently showing from the TV. There was a dish of a suspicious looking substance (really parsley flakes), with packets of cigarette papers. There were some pretty incriminating photos taken. For desert, the hostess prepared her special "brownies".

Ruby won 12 games and lost 12, making her eligible for no Bunko prizes. She did win the prize for the best costume though, and she had a "groovy" time as well.
