Overtime, Bark Dust, Mother's Day, Survivor

What a whirl-wind weekend it was! Saturday began for Ruby with a rude 6 a.m. alarm ring. Then it was off to the infirmary for 4 hours of overtime, it was worth it because the extra money will come in handy for her upcoming vacation. It took a while to get home, as she stopped at some shops along the way (Oops! There goes her overtime money!)

When she pulled in to her driveway, she was amazed by a surprise. Her brother, Mungo, had left her a pile of bark dust for her yard. Ruby rejoiced! This is just what she needed, and it was a complete unexpected surprise.

Ruby spent little time at home. There were plans for a Mother’s Day/Birthday gathering at her parents home (Berilac and Bella Hardbottle). Bella prepared a sumptuous feast. Ruby's brother, his wife Myrtle, and their two daughters Ruby (whom Ruby refers to as “Baby Rube”) and Bramblerose were there.. It was a lovely evening, full of laughter and love.

Baby Rube is a computer genius! She helped Ruby set up a comments section on her Blog, so now people who read it can click on the word “Comments” and deliver a message. Ruby was so tickled about this! She said, Oh!, I cannot wait to get comments!” Baby Rube also added links, that will take readers to her website and Bramblerose's Blog.

Bramblerose was celebrating her 15th birthday. She and Ruby are taking a Saturday Sampler quilt class together. She brought a book of lovely blocks that can be made and they looked at it together. They were enticed by the lovely projects therein. They made plans to make tote bags together for their quilt projects..

When Ruby returned home, she put her feet up and watched Survivor. She thinks that "Big-Tom" is not too bright!
