Ruby has a birthday coming... and she is planning a beach trip to celebrate.
The trip will begin a month from now on a Friday and Saturday at her church retreat at Canon Beach. Daisy will pick her up on Sunday, her actual birthday, and they will continue down the coast. Ruby made reservations yesterday at The Sylvia Beach Hotel

Ruby has been wanting to stay here for a long time. It is an old hotel dedicated to books. Each room has the theme of an author. Ruby and Daisy will be in the Maribel Le Seuer room.

Evening meals are served family style, and in the late evening hot spcied wine is served in the library.
Ruby also hopes to include a stay at the Heceta Head Lighthouse in the trip... but hopes of obtaining a resrvation for that are dimming.
