Ruby rang up Bella and said to her "I am going to go see Olo and Mereyann this Saturday, do you want to go?" Bella said "Yes!" without hesitation. Hence the events of Ruby's Saturday were set into motion. They arose early, picked up some things from Mungo and Myrtle, and with only one slight wrong turn they soon found themselves seated at the dining table in Olo and Meryeann's cozy condo, enjoying lucious pancakes prepared by Mereyan, served on their beautiful "company china."
Ruby was taken with their place. Very convenient, yet very private. A cozy fireplace, an adorable kitchen, a private deck overlooking a grove of cedars, and although there were neighbors nearby, they were not visible except on entering.
Olo and Mereyann took their aunt and grandma to the Museum of Flight, one of their favorite places. Ruby and Bella were amazed at what they saw. Olo knew the details and acted as their private tour guide, greatly enhancing the experience. There was a mind-boggling exhibit of planes. Probably the two most impressive were the Concord and Air-Force one (from the 1960's). Both had links to fame and history from headlines gone by, but remembered by Ruby and Bella. The exhibit of planes from WWI and WWII were set up beautifully, making it more than just a walk past some old airplanes, but more a trip in a time-machine, back to the acutal time they were used. Time passed very, very quickly and the four of them realized they were both tired and hungry. "I will take you to an early dinner," Bella Said. They ended up an Olive Garden where they all enjoyed thier favorites, and then it was time for Bella and Ruby to head home.
"Next time we go there, we should spend the night." They both agreed. "This was a fabulous day. "
