Ears on a Pink Elephant

"Precisely how would the ears on a pink elephant look?" Ruby asked herslf. That was her dilemma of the day. She was putting the finishing touches on her Halloween costume that she will need by Friday night. No, she is not going trick-or-treating. But her Bunko group is having a costume party, and she knows if she does not show up with a great costume she will look like a boring, stuffed shirt. "Stuffed Shirt!" she thought, "There's another costume idea!."

There have been a lot of things this week that have kept life entertaining for Ruby. On Monday she had her piano lesson. She is working on "In the Mood". She has almost got it down. Next week she and Hambut will record it as a piano duet, on her "CD" that is now growing on Hambut's computer. It includes such selections as "Mack the Knife" and "Stranger on the Shore."

Tuesday Ruby had to leave early for a department meeting. Although the department meeting didn't amount to much. Wednesday she spent two hours in a "Benefits Seminar" The infirmary is revamping the benefits a bit. Ruby is just thankful to have insurance. Today at dinner there is a huge party for the infirmary employees called a "Fall Fetsival" There is a huge tent erected outside the infirmary building. Muscians and caterers have been brought in, and a free meal will be provided. "That sounds like a lovely way to finish the work week," Ruby said.
