“I would love to get who did this, and defenestrate them!!” Ruby was talking to herself of course. She had just finished reading the morning paper and she was deeply saddened. Someone had severely vandalized the beautiful Japanese Garden in the middle of the lake in Bywater.
“This makes no sense, she said, there is no answer to the question of "Why?” As horrible as drugs, theft, and even murder is, the question of “Why?” usually has an answer. This was pure destruction with no gain for anybody. So Ruby cannot find an ounce of sympathy in her soul for the yobs who worked so hard to do this damage, and she is starting the day a little disappointed in humanity.
