Hands Across the Water Part I: Bunco!

Taking deep breaths to calm the butterflies in her stomach, Ruby walked into the hotel where she was immediately greeted by many smiling Japanese teenagers. In a ceremony prepared by the teachers, Ruby was presented with an armload of gifts, and her new Japanese friends, Shiho and Misato. They loaded their things in Ruby's trunk and they were off to greet the day.

"Daisy" had two Japense guests staying with her too, and they all met back at Ruby's cottage for a lunch of Pizza. The girl's eyes got big and smiles got wide when Ruby mentioned the word "shopping". So Ruby took all four girls to the mall while "Daisy" finished up her day at work. Shiho and Misato bought a new pair of jeans.

A Bunco Party was planeed for the evening. The guests included Bramble Rose, Baby Rube and 4 of Baby Rube's friends (including 2 from Korea). Everyone made their own special name tag.

They dined on barbecued burgers and hot dogs, water melon and pop, and then played the game. "Daisy" taught the girls to say "Bummer, man!" When the dice did not roll in their favor.

Everybody laughed and had a good time, and soon the game was over, prizes were awarded, and we all enjoyed home-made ice cream for desert.
