An Eventful Day

Thursday had Ruby on the fly. She arose and got dressed for work immediately. Her first duty was to meet “Daisy” at Bywater City Hall. The morning was to be spent with Ruby acting as grip while filming for the next edition of “Snapshots”.

“Daisy” is a powerful woman!” Ruby thought as she watched her direct firemen, firetruck, two costumed characters, the TV show’s host and Ruby into position and tell them where to stand, what to say and how to say it. They spent the morning filming various introductions into various spots of the production. Being part of making it all happen, Ruby is looking forward to seeing the final product.



Olo 

At lunchtime Ruby rushed over to Mungo and Myrtle’s house. It was not just lunch. Olo and Mereyann were down. It was Olo’s 23rd birthday and lunch was a barbecue celebration of that event. Olo and Mereyann were especially aglow because they had applied for their marriage license that morning, and also had some success in finding a car for Mereyann. Once again Ruby had a hard time taking it all in. It was not that long ago she received that phone call and heard Bella’s voice say “Myrtle’s water broke!”
