Another Week

They are up to their armpits in alligators at the infirmary. More lengthy dictations and more and more dictators. There are rumors that a fellow stenographer is quitting, and summer vacations are looming. It looks like there will be plenty of overtime ahead. This makes Ruby happy and sad at the same time. She always likes the extra coins in her pocketbook that overtime brings, but she does not care to be working all of the time.
