Gil Grissom walks in, the body is in water, floating on its side. "There's something fishy about this." he quips, at which point the theme song starts.
That was what Ruby imagined as she walked in to Mungo's study on Saturday to feed his fish, only to find that one of them was no longer with us.
Her brain was racing, "I just can't have Mungo come home to a dead fish" she thought. She called Daisy and they cooked up a scheme.
They carefully wrapped up the body in plastic, and making sure nobody saw them, snuck it into the car with them and they headed down town. They knew a guy who could take care of this, for the right amount of money.
He disposed of the body and provided them with a living replacement.
"Do you think he will be able to tell?" asked Ruby.
"He'll never know the difference" he said, "how old is he?"
"He just turned 50," said Ruby.
"...Oh.." he said, not so sure this time, "Maybe."
Ruby paid the man, and got her 70 cents change. She then rushed back to Mungo's house where she snuck the replacement in the bowl.
Whatever you do, don't tell Mungo.
