"Hello Daisy? This is Ruby", Ruby spoke into the phone. "It seems like eons since I have seen you, what are you up to?" "Daisy" then filled Ruby in about Mother Mergatroid's illness, and the drudgery at work of making a budget publication. They chatted for a few minutes and then made plans to speak again tomorrow, while Ruby is at the constabulary.
Ruby knows when "Daisy" is calling the constabulary because the phone posts her name. So instead of the usual "Bywater Constabulary, Ruby speaking" with which Ruby usually answers the phone, she picks it up and says "Yeah.. what?!" or "Whaddaya want?"
The upcoming weekend is semi-open, but Ruby suspects it will fill up. She wants to see the new movie "The Incredibles" Hopefully she will have a chance this weekend. She also wants to touch bases with Marigold, since she has not seen her since her trip to Ireland.
On Saturday afternoon Ruby is hosting a card making party, although she has not gotten many RSVPs.... Hopefully Myrtle and her Mom, possibly Bramblerose and "Daisy" will be there, and also two new friends from the constabulary. Eight is a pretty good group, but the parties are fun even with one or two.
