Mungofest 2004

"What a nice party that was." Ruby had just hugged the last of her guests good-bye, and she was basking in the warm glow she always felt after entertaining guests in her home.

It had been a Hawaii-5-0 Party in Mungo's honor, complete with luau decoratoins and regalia and a pot-luck supper. The guests began with dinner and conversation, then adjourned to Ruby's parlor for old-photo sharing and watching Mungo open is birthday gifts. Mungo was flamingoed by Olo and Mereyann. This time the flamingo was appropriately dressed in a hula skirt with strageically placed buttons.

They then had desert, a special Hawaii-5-0 birthday cake designed by Bramblerose, complete with hula girl.

They then played "Story-Teller" a game designed by Mungo. Each guests shared a personal story from topics drawn at random. Stories were shared about Mungo's Pumpkins, A Friut Basket fashioned from Salt Water Taffy, Bunk-beds and other furniture built by Stu Bracegirdle when he was in the 7th and 8th grade, Big Apples at Lunch, Childhood Neighbors, A One-Dog-Dog Show, Three Fish Stories from One Pond, Flag Capture by a Masked Stranger, and an Unusual New-Years Eve.

"I love having guests in my home," Ruby thought.
