Ruby and Daisy.. or is it Thelma and Louise?

The trip had been planned for a a couple of months. A chance to practice what they had learned in their July golf lessons at a real resort golf course, and a chance to rest up from a busy few weeks. When they were looking at the map it dawned on them...

"Hey Daisy, said Ruby, "We will be going through our old friend Taser Knightstick's town. Do you think we should honk as we go by?"

"Why don't you contact him and find out if we can drop in for a visit?" suggested Daisy.

So that is what had happened when the following pictures were taken.

Actually, Taser was a very gracious host and gave them the grand tour which, of course, included the jail cell. He then took them to lunch, where one of his officers joined them.

Ruby was interested to hear about Taser's recent trip to Washington D.C. He described meeting senators, a tour of the White House, and being in the Supreme Court building at a crucial history-making moment.

Ruby's trip there, which included White House Egg Roll, a play in Ford's Theater, the Cherry-Blossom Festival, time at the Smithsonian and an appearance on Good Morning America, suddenly began to pale in the light of his detailed descriptions. She worked hard to conceal her jealousy.

"George is much taller in person" said Taser.
"You saw the president!" Ruby exclaimed in utter amazement.
Taser pointed at her, laughed and shook his head "no".
Ruby sighed hard and fought the desire to kick him in the shins!

Following lunch Taser gave Ruby and Daisy the grand city tour in his special police chief's car. He showed them the city's many parks and the various sections of the town, a huge boat docking area, the schools, where he lives, and where his girlfriend lives. It was very apparent that the people of the town really liked him.

A call came on over police radio while they were riding. "A small plane is headed for the local airport that is in trouble." Taser gunned the engine and headed to the local airport. Before reaching the destination, however, another call came over the radio "the plane has made it safely to the ground." Ruby and Daisy were grateful that the plane was safe, yet thankful for the excitement it created.

He drove them past a local resort, a former poor farm, which now contained restaurants, movie theater, and golf course.
"Oh.. Let's go there sometime Daz" said Ruby.
Daisy readily agreed.

At the end of their visit, Taser gave them easy instructions back to the main road, they hugged him good-bye and hit the road.

"I haven't known Taser very long," said Ruby, "but I know I have never seen him happier."
"I don't believe I have either" agreed Daisy.
