"This is my first real game of golf." Ruby explained to the man behind the counter at the pro shop. This information made him patient and sympathetic. He gave the ladies the keys to the golf cart and pointed to the hole where they would start their game. The ladies had fun, but 9-holes was a big plenty, mainly because of their skill level, requiring a lot of exercise between holes.
Just after finishing the golf game, the cell phone rang. It was an old friend whom Ruby had left a message for earlier that morning. They spent a brief time catching up. Ruby had hoped to see her, but she was on her way out of town to a family reunion.
"I think about you every year on our anniversary" she told Ruby. Ruby had been the Maid of honor at her wedding.
"How long has it been since I have seen you?" she said
"Fourteen years" she said.
They were both amazed at how thay had allowed this to happen and promised to do better.

After golf, the ladies had their lunch... One more chance to have that wonderful longhouse salad, they used their coupon to take a final dip in the village pool, this was located north of the lodge.
An afternoon dip

It was then time to leave the lodge to their next destination. They traveled south for a couple of hours, taking in the terrain, so different from their own. They checked into the hotel they had reserved and found a place to eat. The food was spicey and plentiful. The ladies left more than full.... actually pretty close to miserable.
They had talked before dinner of catching a movie, but they had headaches, gas, nasal congestion, and Ruby was just plain pooped from lack of sleep. The full day of fun in the sun had gotten to them. They instead watched a spectacular sunset from their room, took medication for their various complaints and retired early.
