Ruby arose early on Friday morning, checked with the constabluary to make sure they had adequate coverage for volunteers, and since they did, she spend most of the day preparing her house for the evening's Bunko party. She had not been with these people since May, and was practically going through withdrawals. Many different faces were at this party however, because replacements had to be found due to summer vacation season.
After a potluck dinner, the games began. Everyone had a blast as usual. Ruby won the grand prize this time. A bag full of summer fun type stuff: A tiny 6-pack cooler with coolant, a tube of sun screen, a mean-looking squirt gun, swimming flippers (for her hands!), a tiny snorkel set, a bubble making set. She posed for her picture. Everyone smiled for the traditional group picture. 6-pack coolers were worn as hats.
"I have friends who are not afraid to be a little goofy" said Ruby. "I don'think I would want it any other way!"
