Berilac Is Back!

"They are going to let me go home today!" Berliac told Ruby as she sat beside him in his hospital room.

"Oh... I really think it's tomorrow", said Ruby , thinking her Dad was confused about how long he had been there.

Berilac had amazed her. Each day she came to visit there were glowing reports of how he had walked farther than expected during therapy. He had charmed all of the nurses and nursing students, and seemed very upbeat. All of this came as a surprise to Ruby.

Later that evening she received one more surprise in a message on her answering machine:
"HI... THIS IS MOM.... YOUR DAD IS HOME!".

"He was right after all" thought Ruby, "he does get to go home today!" She made a mental note to put more faith in her father, and she reflected back on the prayer she said as he entered the operating room two days before. She prayed again.. "Thank you, God, for Your gracious answer."
