Office Entertainment

"There is nothing that tickles my funny bone like the look on someone's face the moment they realize they have made clown of themselves." said Ruby. She and her co-worker Camelia Broadbelt were wiping the tears of hysterical laughter from their faces.

It ocurred during worktime. Camelia and Ruby had their earphones in and their game faces on. Their fingers were diligently clicking on their keyboards, and although neither one was aware of the other, they had their eyes open, taking in their surroundings. It was like watching a silent movie.

Azaelia Bleeker-Baggins approached the clerk, Ivy Deepdelver, and they engaged in a conversation that lead Ivy to walk to the wall calendar. Unbeknowst to Ivy, Azaelia returned to her office. Ivy faced the calendar flipping pages, making grand, full gestures and talking in an animated fashion. Ruby and Camelia sat silently, holding their laughter and clicking away on their keyboards, watching, waiting and knowing what was about to happen, neither one said a word.

Then the payoff came. Ivy turned around to say something to Azaelia and realization that she had just spent 3 minutes talking to nothing but a wall calendar slowly crept across her face. The look was priceless.

Ruby and Camelia simultaneously exploded into uncontrollable, unstoppable laughter. The rest of the evening, the same laughter would erupt whenever the thought of poor, red-faced Ivy came to mind.
