Just Another Day

Ruby awoke at 9 a.m., stumbled out of her bed, and broke into her morning routine
1. Make the Bed
2. Read the paper and have a cup of coffee.
3. Have some breakfast.
4. Clean up kitchen
5. Check e-mail and BLOGS.
6. Play the piano, sew, watch TV
7. Make some phone calls.

Then it is time to take a shower, get dressed, and go to the constabulary for the afternoon.

This evening she will probably catch a movie, although she has pretty much seen what she wants to see. She saw "Hitch" last weekend, and got a big kick out of it.

It was a quiet day at the constabulary. All of the people in charge seemed to be taking a chance at an early long-weekend. Ruby does not get a long weekend, however, the infirmary does not count President's Day as a day-off kind of holiday.

At the constabulary she entered some pawn slips, washed some dishes, emptied some waste baskets, and answered some phone calls.

"It was just another day in Bywater." said Ruby
