Another Merry Christmas

"Merry Christmas!" A stranger blurted out to Ruby as she was walking around the lake .

"Merry Christmas!" Ruby replied. She then began to think , My Christmases are always Merry... to say "Have a Merry Christmas" to me is like asking me to breathe."

Her thoughts were true, although some years Christmas Celebrations may have had to be postponed because of illnesses or work schedules of family members, or inclement weather, they always took place and they were always merry.

So this December 24 was no exception. Mungo, Myrtle, Ruby, Olo, Mereyann, Baby Rube and Bramblerose joined Ruby at Bella and Berliac's home, in the cottage which Ruby was raised. They enjoyed a luscious Christmas supper. Mungo read the Christmas story from the bible, and they opened gifts. They took a break snacking on Christmas cakes, candies, and various other confections, and they looked at old photographs and listened to Christmas music. This lead to further gift opening this from stockings, and yet another invasion of the snack table. They laughed a lot, like they always do, and basked in the love present in the room.

"Yes indeed," thought Ruby, "I had another Merry Christmas."
