A Busy Weekend

The weekend grabbed Ruby by the neck and didn't let go until late this afternoon. She did her usual crime-fighting on Friday afternoon. "Daisy" called while she was there and they decided to go to the Big Screen and see "The Incredibles."

They arrived early to get their tickets, and had about 2 hours before the show started. This gave them plenty of time for a leisurely dinner at a nearby restaurant. They had time to catch up on things, and to discuss their plans for a New Years Eve party.

The movie was amazing in a technical sense, as Pixar-type movies usually are. But Ruby didn't laugh as hard at this one as she did at Shrek II or Finding Nemo. She thought the women in the movie were not as realistic as most Pixar movies, their eyes were too big, there legs too skinny and their feet too tiny, and the story did not seem to draw in adults as much as the previously mentioned pictures did. "I think if you have seen the preview's for this movie, you have already enjoyed it to its fullest" Ruby said.

Saturday morning Ruby was up and running, getting groceries and preparing her house for guests to arrive a 1 p.m. She was happy to see Myrtle's mom, Pearl Bracegirdle, could make it along with Myrtle and Bramblerose. "Daisy " arrived later and the ladies spent the afternoon making greeting cards that were actually minautre works of art.

Ruby now had her feet up, enjoying a cup of coffee and some recorded television. "Ahhhhhhhhh"
