"Is it really only Wednesday?" Ruby asked. The days of the week have been confusing for her this week, since she has been working Saturdays to make up for days off during the week.
She has been working since Saturday and will keep working through Friday, her usual day off. That is 7 days in a row! She has no right to whine though, it is her own fault. Nobody asked her to do this, she volunteered. Let's hope she will take a lesson from it. She may have been able to do this in times past, but she is no longer a spring chicken.
This week she works Friday (her usual day off), has Saturday off, she works Sunday, and then has Monday off to go to a program at the local theater.
"Things will be back no normal for a little while after that", she said.
